When I said we wouldn’t add any more songs it was a lie.
We’ve added more songs in anticipation of our exciting next meeting on the 1st July (this Thursday). It’s all about getting ready for the Moseley Festival.
As it is the Festival we thought that it would be interestingly irrelevant to add Everyday by Buddy Holly
..and You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
Neither of which have anything to do with each other or festivals. They are, of course in the Songbook. I’ve also got rid of some of the more obvious errors from the song book.
You might also have noticed in B13 Magazine that we are listed for Wednesday the 8th. We prefer to think this is some sort of innocent mistake rather than a blatant lie. We’ve got upstairs at Kavanagh’s booked for Thursday the 8th. Don’t turn up a day early or we won’t be there. This does mean that both meetings in July will be on consecutive weeks.
That’s not a problem is it?
Bit gutted as we won’t be able to make this Thursday’s meet – we’re off down south for the weekend.
Mea culpa.
It was me wot listed it in B13 as Wed 8th.
Worse than that, I’ve listed it elsewhere too as the same wrong date.
You’d think I’d have noticed that if two consecutive events were listed as Wed 8th and Fri 9th there must be something wrong, but I didn’t in fact notice.
So sorry.
Not to worry. I think Kavanagh’s will realise that people have the wrong day.
Though I’m not convinced they really know what we do up there.
After some uke practice just, I’ve noticed E Minor isn’t included in the “Chords Used” section for Spandau Ballet’s “True”.
I don’t know the ACDC song! I need to do some playing of the Spotify playlist clearly.
Yeah, the missing Em has been noted.
It is the same Em as used in other songs but I’ll add it to the book.
