As pretty well everyone must know by now the Moseley Folk Festival is only four days away.
That means that by Sunday Moseley will have gone Ukulele crazy. This is an official medical condition.
Not only are the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain headlining on the Sunday but our friends at SCUPA are organising a workshop. We say our friends but to be honest we’ve only met two of them, but they were very friendly. We reckon their workshop will be equally friendly.
On the hand if you think that you are unable to wait until the weekend we have our usual Thursday night meeting at Pat Kav’s on Thursday, at 8:00pm, upstairs. Probably the best way to start the festival.
Not only will this be an excellent opportunity for you to keep your Ukulele hand in before the weekend but we have bongos.
Yes, that’s right. Recognising the need to for percussion we’ve got our own pair of bongos, and a tambourine. This is truly uncharted territory.
So, see you on Thursday.
Oh, it’s also worth pointing out that we do have a Facebook group. If you join it you will get to hear news which is strangely reminiscent of everything that we already put on here.
I am so exciting to hear about the new developments. I will be bringing my kazoo and my shakers too. And maybe even my WAHOOBAS.
